She is considered one of the first designers to see computer in a different light, who realized its potential as a design tool. But Greiman was to break from the modernist approach to typography and embrace a new typographical methodology termed ‘The New Wave Movement’ As a young design student Greiman had been taught all design work on a strict grid system. She is recognized for introducing the ‘New Wave’ design style in the US.
Seeking a new spirit, she moved to Los Angeles and entered a culture that, for better or for worse, had a limited aesthetic of its own at that time.
