";s:4:"text";s:1283:"The War Department established the Air War College (AWC) in 1946 at what was called Maxwell Field, Alabama—now it’s Maxwell Air Force Base.
Faculty from every department are involved in the process. All Air War College (AWC) students within the regular curriculum must complete four semester hours in the electives program. Students must be nominated by faculty for an award. Have a current Top Secret or Interim Top Secret Clearance that will not expire through 20 May 2021. The SDE/AWC DL program provides a strategic, air and space minded curriculum that prepares graduates to provide strategic leadership, appropriate expertise and critical thinking in support of national security objectives.
