This patch adds support for Landsat 8 imagery, as well as fixing several quality and performance issues related to raster and imagery data. Scrolling the mouse wheel will enlarge or decrease the size of a lens depending on the direction. It takes images across our globe to reveal earth's secrets, from volcanic activity to urban sprawl. These images provide an increasingly powerful tool for mapping and visualizing the world. The USGS's Landsat program has been imaging the Earth for the past 45 years (see wiki). Using a mouse, a lens can be moved around the map with a standard left mouse click and drag operation. This service includes 8-band multispectral scenes, at 30 meter resolution. Landsat, an earth observation satellite, sees the earth in a unique way. This service includes scenes from Landsat 8 and Global Land Survey (GLS) data from epochs 1990, 2000, 2005 and 2010 at 30 meter resolution as well as GLS 1975 at 60 meter resolution.
