Sanditon is a Red Planet Pictures production commissioned for ITV by Polly Hill and MASTERPIECE by Rebecca Eaton. When she died at the age of 41 in 1817, Jane Austen had written 11 chapters of what was to be her final book, called Sanditon (you can read it here ). Through a mishap, Tom makes the acquaintance of the Heywoods and invites their eldest daughter, Charlotte (Williams), for an extended stay at Sanditon.
